После выхода первых видеокарт GeForce GTX 1080 внимание энтузиастов приковано к следующему релизу NVIDIA — GeForce GTX 1070. Как известно, этот адаптер будет базироваться на графическом процессоре Pascal GP104 с тремя активными GPC-кластерами из четырёх (модификация GP104-200). Соответственно, карта ограничится 1920 ядрами CUDA и 120 текстурными блоками (TMU) в сочетании с 256-разрядной шиной памяти и 8 Гбайт ОЗУ типа GDDR5 с пропускной способностью интерфейса 8 Гбит/с. Скромный, относительно GTX 1080, арсенал будет компенсирован более доступной ценой — от $379.
Веб-ресурсу VideoCardz удалось раздобыть снимок печатной платы ускорителя GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition, которая имеет кодовое обозначение PG411. В VideoCardz считают, что данное ограничение мощности «стреножит» частотный потенциал ядра GTX 1070, и разгон в итоге не превысит 1980–2050 МГц. Надеемся, что у нереференсных видеокарт от AIB-партнёров NVIDIA лимит мощности будет увеличен.
